ALISON BRITTON
Alison Britton (b. 1948) studied at the Central School of Art and Design, and the Royal College of Art. A significant figure among the generation of innovativeBritish ceramicists that emerged during the 1970s, her distinctive hand-built and expressively painted pots can be found in major public and private collections internationally. She is also widely recognized for her work as a curator, writer and lecturer. She was awarded an OBE for services to the applied arts in 1990 and is a senior tutor at the Royal College of Art.
